President's Weekend!

Took my 13 year old with me - turns out he was a good luck charm!

Lots of instruments . . .

And the find of the day - a $3 fire bell!

2013 - Here we go!

It's the start of another new year and I'm sure I'm only one of many who will begin a new venture.
I actually started mine a few months ago but decided it would be fun to blog about the process.

I've been scouring the swap meet here in San Diego every Friday for treasures that can be turned into whimsical found object sculpture. I'm going to attempt to post weekly pictures of what I find and then update with photos of the sculptures.  One more thing to keep me on track . . .
This year will be the year I stick to it!

Here are this week's finds - it was a great Friday!

Warm day for shopping!

Some bodies, a bunch of necks and some great hats!
One funky cone head coming soon!

Flower frog hats

Drill-part necks

Favorite find of the day . . .

And waiting for me when I got home -
a package from eBay exactly as advertised!!

Happy Friday!

Friday - Swap Meet Day!

Today's finds - so random and yet so much fun!
Faucet handles from Virginia (the girl, not the state)

Who doesn't love graphics - especially in these colors?
You can't imagine the looks I get walking around with stuff like this car jack.
Is that even what it is?
I'm hoping it will be a base for something I got last week!  We'll see. . .
LOVE these lamps - the picture doesn't quite do them justice.

And last but not least . . . the loudest cowbell on earth!
But the gold color is awesome.
